New scout released .

The new Scout version 9.7 has been released. It contains new functions and bugfixes.

New stuff

• In the file entry dialog it is possible to select and import a file into the database.
• The background image can be selected and imported to the database through a file selector box
• It is possible to define a icon list. This icons can be selected in application definitions.
• The console is able to request diagnostic files from the client.
• Definition and usage of destination file templates
• Desktop and keyboard language ‘Greek’
• Admnistration right for VPN config changes
• The Schedule dialog and Update history dialog are now displaying only the entries within an root ou (if specified)
• Additional parameters (e.g. partitions) are now written to eluxng.des, recovery dialog has new options (ask user, use partition data)
• Online client configuration check (with key kombination Ctrl-E)
• Read all initialization values from the registry instead of the scout.ini file

Bugfix

• The console terminates sporadically when comparing independent setups.
• The refresh device status initated from the device list view does not work
• Do not allow to edit the properties if dblclicking a device and no license is available
• The resolution column in the device list view displays wrong vaules when a device has its own setup and no screen properties for this device are set
• When changing device properties the client will make an unnecessary restart
• Correct the initialization of m_iRootPartitionSize, m_iHomePartitionSize and m_iSwapPartitionSize
• An ICA session with an renamed primary or backup group name can not be edited (console terminates)
• When clicking more devices in the device list view the menu items may be disabled
• When displaying one application the application id was only shown for local applications

Changed

• The server does not longer open the TCP listen port 7778
• For MySQL servers it is necessary to change the paramater ‘max_allowed_packet’ within the MySQL configuration file to insert binary data larger than 1 MB
• The logging of “demo mode off” is now only done with the highest logging level
• If no license is available for X52, X32 or Powerterm a warning instead of an error is generated

New Baseos and packages and hardware support

New Baseos 1.45-3 is released , Major feature/bugfix is __SIZE__ macro is working again. also the PCSC lite, Wlan drives and VNPC has been updated. Furthermore the NEXstation-I is now supported in UC_TRANSMETA container.
